Austin May Have To Wait

Tyler Austin has been in a cast since mid-July

Tyler Austin, this year's 13th round pick, has been one of the unluckiest guys so far. Not only did he get the flu the day after signing his contract, he got hit by a pitch in his second professional at-bat. And that was before being plunked in his fourth at-bat, only this time it put him on the shelf. It's still up in the air if he'll see any game action this Instructional League season too.

Tyler Austin fractured a bone in his left hand against the GCL Pirates way back on July 14th and he's been in a cast ever since. "I was really disappointed," he said. "I was more surprised that it happened in my fourth at-bat and some of the coaches down there told me I have the worst luck of any player that's been down there so far.
