Scouting Report: 1B/3B Robert Lyerly

Lyerly is an opposite field gap hitter

The Yankees drafted third baseman Robert Lyerly in the 6th round of the 2009 MLB Draft out of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He missed most of his debut season in Staten Island a year ago but bounced back in a big way this past season, hitting a team-high .312 for the Charleston RiverDogs and was among the league leaders in doubles.
