Don't tell Gary Sanchez, who already looks like he's in mid-season form, that Spring Training games just started on Saturday. He went 2-3 with two mammoth home runs and drove home three runs in the victory. His first dinger was a solo shot deep over the left-centerfield fence and two at-bats later he hit one even further for a two-run shot over the left field wall. He also had a sacrifice fly in the game to advance a runner to third base [in his first at-bat] and struck out looking in his third plate appearance. Though Tampa surrendered eight runs in all, none of them came off of right-hander Brett Marshall who looked very good once again. His slider was not only biting, but he was locating it quite well. He induced four ground ball outs over his two scoreless innings and struck out one batter. He gave up just one hit, a dunking double down the left field line.
