CHARLESTON, SC – In his second year playing in Charleston, Slade Heathcott is ready to cease the rollercoaster-like hitting. His focus is to find a steady rhythm that will carry him throughout the 2011 season with the RiverDogs and beyond.

A native of Texarkana, Texas, Slade Heathcott was chosen by the Yankees in the first round (29th overall) of the 2009 first-year player draft. After playing only three games with the GCL Yankees he spent 2010 in Charleston where he was recognized as one of the best all-around outfield prospects.
