Mack Taking Advantage Of His Opportunity

TRENTON, NJ - Before coming to Trenton, the outfield in Tampa got to witness the surprising talents of a small, but powerful package known only as outfielder DeAngelo Mack. And now that he's part of Trenton Thunder, the organization has seen even greater things come out of Mack, starting with his first home run at Reading.

"It felt good," Mack said about his home run. "It got down to two strikes and I was like ‘Oh God, here we go'. [But] I was able to get a pitch out over the plate and was able to knock it out." Selected in the 13th round of the 2009 MLB Draft out of the University of South Carolina, Mack has proven that even for a 5-foot-10 build, size doesn't matter when it comes to stepping up to the plate...
