Segedin had a clutch RBI in his Tampa debut

TAMPA, FL - Rob Segedin entered the 2011 season with the Charleston Riverdogs to begin his first full professional season. As last week's All-Star break concluded the first half of the season, Segedin's stats and overall numbers were good enough for the Yankees to promote the 22-year old to high-A Tampa.

Segedin, who spent 2010 with both Staten Island and the Gulf Coast League, was getting his feet wet playing in his first professional baseball season. Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2010 MLB Draft, he found himself learning the ropes and putting up an average year at the plate.
