Lyerly Keeping The Same Approach

Lyerly hit his first Double-A home run on Wed.

TRENTON, NJ - Rob Lyerly, called up from Tampa where he was one of the better hitters, is a recent addition to the Trenton Thunder roster. He is quickly proving that he has enough baseball ability to stay with the Thunder by driving in runs and gaining hits in crucial spots, while also occupying first base.

For the season, he is currently hitting a combined .313 while bringing home 54 RBI. Lyerly also has the ability to play third base if needed, but Thunder manager Tony Franklin is happy with what he has seen so far from his newest acquisition.
