Right handed relief pitcher, Tommy Kahnle has struggled with the consistency of his pitches this season. His slider, changeup and fastball had not been up to his standards lately causing him to see increased pitch counts.

Prior to the 2011 season with the Charleston RiverDogs Kahnle had been playing college baseball so this year has been one of transition for the almost 22-year old.
