Duran Focused In The Field

Fourth round pick Matt Duran proved in his short time in the Gulf Coast League that he brings a lot of offensive potential to the table. Having some immediate offensive success, the Yankees now have Duran focused on the defensive side of the ball at Instructs.

He finished his debut season hitting .301 with an .871 OPS, clubbing six doubles and three home runs in just 23 games played. "I think [with] my first taste of pro ball I did pretty well. I ended up hitting .301 and I adjusted pretty well. My hitting coach worked with me everyday and towards the end I did really well."
