Lopez Getting Stronger

One of the more unheralded stories down on the farm for the Yankees in 2011 has been the development of outfielder Daniel Lopez. Only known for his world class speed the past two years, he has been also getting stronger and it is starting to show in his performance on the field.

Not only did the 6-foot-2 speedster steal a career-high 27 bases this year [22 with the GCL Yankees], but he also set career highs with a .327 average, eleven doubles, seven triples, and three home runs.
