Mitchell is showing better fastball command

D.J. Mitchell basks in a state of confidence that's more likely to be found in a starter well entrenched in the middle of a big league rotation. That confidence, coupled with an ever-so-effortless throwing motion that earned Mitchell a 13-9 record with 112 strikeouts over 161 1/3 innings and a 3.18 ERA last year, has the young righty within spitting distance of a full-time job in New York.

But to Mitchell it's an all business approach to his third year in the International League after spending his second consecutive Spring Training with the big league club.
