Hard Work Paying Off For Segedin

When Rob Segedin was selected by the New York Yankees in the third round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Tulane University, big expectations were bound to follow and with his second full season in the minors now almost a month in, he is showing the Yankees why it was a smart choice to draft him in the third round with that draft pick.

With the first month of this season recently completed, Segedin is off to a blistering start this year with a batting average of .297 with four home runs and 14 runs batted in. The improvement from the second-half of last season shows that Segedin has put in the effort over the offseason and the hot start is his rewarded.
