Whitley Sliding Up

The life of a relief pitcher has as many ups and downs as a rollercoaster ride does. There are times when the pitcher cruises through an inning and other times when he is scratching his head wondering what went wrong today. Chase Whitley's ride has seen those turbulent turns but he remains optimistic that the rest of the season will be smooth sailing.

"The biggest thing is I am working on just trying to slow the game down when things happen over the course of the game and that is something I am trying to improve, and I feel like over the last couple of weeks it's been pretty good," Whitley said.
