Betances Showing Improvement

Betances has had one really bad Double-A start

TRENTON, NJ - Back in June, right-handed starting pitcher Dellin Betances was demoted from Triple-A Scranton to Double-A Trenton. The 6-foot-8, 260-pounder, who last season pitched in two big league games, started off the year with Scranton, but struggled mightily, going 3-5 with a 6.39 ERA in 16 Triple-A starts.

"He just wasn't as successful as they would've liked to see him in Scranton," Thunder manager Tony Franklin said. "Maybe this is a better venue for him to accomplish what they are looking for."
