Montgomery Keeps Rolling

TRENTON, NJ - Mark Montgomery's career long homerless streak was finally put to an end August 4th when the Thunder faced the Bowie Baysox, serving up a dinger to Manny Machado who is now in the big leagues. Although Montgomery is no longer at a perfect 100 percent, he's still confident that he can get the job done and effectively get batters out.

"I got ahead of him and just hung up a pitch that just wasn't very well commanded," Montgomery said. "He was a good hitter and he hit it out. It's not going to affect how I attack or approach hitters." Manager Tony Franklin agrees that this is nothing for fans, nor Montgomery, to worry about.
