O'Brien Ends Big

Despite a slow start to his season, Staten Island Yankees catcher Peter O'Brien redeemed himself with a late-season power surge that was instrumental in the teams' strong finish to the season. With a team best of ten home runs, his impressive finish led Staten Island Yankees manager, Justin Pope, to admit, "he's got a big-time future."

Closing out their final game of the series against the Brooklyn Cyclones, O'Brien smacked his tenth home run of the season out of the MCU Park in Coney Island on September 2nd, earning the victory over their rival team, 1-0.
