Bakersfield Pounds Visalia

Over the past year a promotion, trade, and position change removed three of the top Cincinnati prospects from their shortstop pipeline. Meanwhile Juan Perez started slowly at Dayton before finishing strong at the end of the year. He's now flirting with .300 at high-A Bakersfield and is looking to make a place in the shortstop void left in the Reds system.

Bakersfield came out of the gate with six runs in the first inning and added another five in the second as they cruised past visiting Visalia by a score of 14-3.
