Gumbs Feels Like A New Player

Gumbs is hitting .328 since coming off the DL

TAMPA, FL - Angelo Gumbs got off to a rough start this season but an injury that derailed him actually turned out to be a big positive for him and now he has looked like a completely different player after making his return from the disabled list.

Gumbs, who was drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2010 MLB Draft, was moved up from the Charleston RiverDogs to the high-A Tampa Yankees this season after just 257 low-A at-bats last season. He was taken back by the transition. "It was a big surprise," he said, "especially because I didn't find out I was switching over to Tampa for spring training until the last day...
