Torrens Holding His Own

TAMPA, FL - Luis Torrens was considered one of the top International signings last year. He has been preparing for his debut season this year down at the Yankees minor league complex and by all accounts he has been doing quite well, especially with his progress behind the plate.

The former infielder was converted to catching when he signed but is better known for his right-handed bat. He weighs 180 pounds and stands at 6-foot. It isn't just his advanced hitting ability stands out but it is also his youth. Born in 1996, Torrens is just 17 years old.
