Duran Rolling With The Punches

Third baseman Matt Duran finished his 2012 season in strong fashion, hitting .288 with all three of his home runs in his final 21 games with the Staten Island Yankees, and seemed poised to really build on that this year with a strong Spring Training and Extended Spring Training. However, a couple of injuries quickly derailed his season and now he's looking to rebound next year.

"I played a limited amount because I wound up getting hurt a couple of times," Duran said. "It was a bad luck year. But in the games I did play I feel like I got better. This next year I'm just focusing on staying healthy and continuing to get better."
