Scouting Yankees Prospect #29: Gabe Encinas

Encinas is getting closer to being on the mound

The Yankees drafted right-handed pitcher Gabe Encinas in the sixth round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of St. Paul High School in California. He had begun to see a significant uptick in stuff in 2012 and followed it up with better pitch-ability and tangible results in 2013 before succumbing to Tommy John surgery last year. Now rehabbing his way back, he still has a ton of upside.
