YMLN - Clarkin A Whole Lot Of Nasty

TAMPA, FL - It was a tremendous first day for the Yankee A-ball teams in their respective Spring Training openers, especially for all three Yankee first round picks last year, including left-hander Ian Clarkin who made a strong opening statement for his possible contention in the Charleston rotation this upcoming season.

It is going to be quite difficult for the Yankees to leave Ian Clarkin out of the Charleston rotation this season if Friday's performance was any indication of things to come. He was showing three plus pitches in Charleston's 5-2 victory over the Pirates.
