Drobiak Needs to Prove '03 Was No Fluke

The New York Yankees signed Jayson Drobiak on July 25th of 2002 out of the Independent Frontier League. Drobiak was originally drafted by the Detroit Tiger organization in the 44th round (1309th overall) of the 1999 Amateur Draft. He struggled mightily in the Tiger minor league system and was eventually let go by the club after the 2000 season.
