Each week this season PinstripesPlus.com will rank the top 30 performances by the Yankees' prospects. This is our third version of the Power Rankings for the 2005 season. Six new players jumped into this week's Top 30.

Note: This list is not about who are the better players or prospects, but rather who is doing the best and making the most of their opportunities.

11 Mike Martinez CHA Leads farm system in saves with 10. Has 1.80 ERA, but lack of strikeouts somewhat concerning for a closer. 14
12 Brett Smith CHA Got promoted to Tampa despite cooling off lately. Had a 5.30 ERA in his last 3 starts with Charleston 12
13 Kevin Reese COL Has an 8-game hit streak and his extra-base power is starting to come around. 20
14 Cody Ehlers CHA Hit just .222 with 4 RBI last week. He's getting pitched around - drew more walks than he had hits. 5
15 Erold Andrus COL Hit .390 during 15-game hit streak but more power was expected from him this season. 16
16 Christian Garcia CHA Has 2.12 ERA in last 3 starts with 19 K's in 17 innings - and just four walks. His control is coming around. 26
17 Justin Christian CHA Hasn't played much in the last week, and when he has, he isn't putting up his normal superb stats. 8
18 Jason Anderson COL Had his 8-game scoreless streak snapped. Still 3-0 with 1.61 ERA with more K's than innings pitched. 18
19 Colter Bean COL Gave up his first HR in 24 games Monday, but opposing batters are still hitting just .102 against him. 4
20 Marcos Vechionacci CHA Hitting .364 the last week and has a .392 on-base percentage. The power is coming slower than expected. 21

24 Jeremy King TRE He's been solid for both Tampa and Trenton so far . AA batters are hitting just .171 off of him. NR
25 Sean Henn COL Had worst outing of the year in his AAA debut Monday. Needs to show success at the higher level. NR
26 Justin Pope TRE Has 6 saves and a 1.69 ERA in his last 9 games. Needs to give up less hits as a closer. NR
27 Eric Duncan TRE Hitting .429 with 6 runs scored and 6 RBI. Extended slump to start season may finally be over. NR
28 Melky Cabrera TRE Like Duncan, Melky is starting to heat up and show signs of getting out of early season slump. 17
29 Chase Wright CHA Finally didn't walk a batter in his last start. Has a solid 2.77 ERA in 4 starts but needs more consistent control. NR
30 Marvin Moscat TAM Has rattled off five straight scoreless appearances but needs to show better control. NR
