Duncan Shedding The Expectations

When we last met with highly touted prospect Eric Duncan, he was ready for his first experience at the AAA level with the Clippers. He was also switching positions, and was to become the Clippers' regular first baseman, after spending most of his career at third. So far the adjustment period has been tough, but Duncan's keeping his head up and making progress.

After getting drafted in the first round by the Yankees in 2003, Eric Duncan has risen through the ranks quickly in the minors. After playing somewhat well in Trenton in 2005, he arrived in Columbus this year as the Yankees no. 2 prospect. And as the Clippers have struggled out of the gate, so has Duncan.
