Ramiro Pena is working hard in the cages

A freak collision with Vince Faison while playing for Trenton caused the slick-fielding Ramiro Pena to go on the disabled list for two weeks in early May. After rehabbing the injury, Pena was sent to Tampa to work on developing his offensive game, especially his small ball skills.

"I had an injury to the knee and the ankle," Ramiro Pena told "It was a fly ball down the line and the fielder [Faison] and I didn't talk, we then yelled at the same time, and the outfielder went down and I went up and we collided.
