White Looking To Build Off Of His Last Start

White needs to get ahead to use his changeup

The adjustment to AAA for Columbus right-hander Steven White hasn't gone exactly as planned. He has gone through the ups and downs but pitching with consistency has been a major downfall. While the minor league season is coming to a conclusion, it is only the beginning for a pitcher searching for answers of consistency.

Steven White, 25, began the season in Trenton showing he was ready to make the jump to AAA in Columbus. White was nothing short of solid as he went 4-1, posting a mere 2.11 ERA in 68.1 innings. Since coming to Columbus, White has only managed a 2-6 mark with a 5.29 ERA in 66.1 innings. Of late, White's main focus of concern has been his control as the walks are beginning to mount.
