Duncan Close To Returning

Coming off an MVP campaign in the Arizona Fall League, the sky was the limit for 2003 first round draft pick Eric Duncan. Duncan started the 2006 season with Triple-A Columbus but due to nagging back injuries and a paltry .209 average with only 6 RBI's he was sent down to Trenton on June 7th.

"I wouldn't say the demotion was a wake-up call because I came into Triple-A with the mind set that I was at my best. I was coming off a great Arizona fall league and my confidence was extremely high entering the season," said Yankees prospect Eric Duncan.
