Pino Hitting Stride

Entering the season, Wilmer Pino was considered a sleeper whose glove and speed would carry him until his bat woke up. His bat, though, has been wide awake this year. He has hit .346 for the season, earning him an All-Star selection and contention for a batting title.

"I feel pride because I have good hitting right now," Wilmer Pino said, through the help of teammate Edgar Soto. "I work a lot in the cage, early everyday, and then I work a lot on swinging at every pitch, and I feel a lot of pride for the work and that I'm going well right now."
