Yankees Got Jackson At The Right Time

If you go by just the career numbers, it doesn't seem like the Yankees got a lot in the form of Steven Jackson as part of the Randy Johnson trade this past week. But 2006 was a career year for the former Clemson product and he says his stuff finally coming together for him was a big reason why, which means the Yankees got him at the right time.

"I'm pretty excited about it," Steven Jackson said of being traded to the Yankees, "actually I'm very excited about it. It's going to be a new opportunity for me. The Yankees are a great organization, but the Diamondbacks were a great organization to me too. It's going to be just another step for me getting to the big leagues."
