Thunder pitcher Scott Patterson has spent his entire career trying to climb the ladder — despite being a man of 6-foot-7 with long legs — but the 27-year-old Patterson has been in pro ball since 2002 and is finally taking his biggest strides towards the Major Leagues.

After pitching four-and-a-half seasons in the Frontier and Atlantic Leagues of independent ball, Scott Patterson has appeared to step onto the Yankees' radar, flashing a 0.92 ERA with 32 strikeouts in 29.1 innings in Trenton this season.
