DeSalvo a Different Player After Demotion

When young boys around the country put on a pair of cleats and a jersey for the first time, many dreams start popping into their heads. One dream for many of these youngsters is to one day put on the famed Yankee pinstripes and run out on to the hollowed grounds of Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. For Scranton pitcher Matt DeSalvo, this lifelong dream became a reality on May 7th.

Things started off great for DeSalvo, as after his first two starts he was 1-0 with a 1.98 ERA. But, DeSalvo regressed from there and by the time June rolled around, he was on his way back to Scranton. But, since DeSalvo has been back in Triple-A, he has turned into a different player, both physically and mentally. For the year, DeSalvo is 5-1 with a 1.69 ERA and since he has been back with...
