Staying Healthy Top Goal For Hoover

Hoover isn't experiencing any pain these days

Three years ago Jesse Hoover dominated the NY-Penn League with his blazing fastball and plus curveball. Missing two full years since then with a back injury, he says more than anything his goal with Charleston this year - and the first step to truly coming back - is just to prove he can stay healthy.

"Physically I feel really good," Jesse Hoover said of his comeback this year. "I've thrown two innings at a time. I haven't had any issues yet throwing or even the next day as far as pain or something out of the ordinary. There's typical stiffness and soreness, but it all seems to go away with the rehab exercises and stretching they have me doing, so physically, I feel fine." While the... Recommended Stories
