Vechionacci Saving Best For Last

Vechionacci made his Double-A debut on Sunday

A combination of a broken finger and pressing at the plate had him hitting below the dreaded Mendoza line for the Tampa Yankees in early June. But a more relaxed approach in August saw Marcos Vechionacci chip in with a season-best month, hitting .343 with 17 runs scored and 15 RBI before earning a promotion to Double-A Trenton on Sunday.

"I've been working and practicing on my hitting a lot lately. Coach Sojo and Coach Rowson told me there was only a couple weeks left in the season so I shouldn't worry too much about putting in the extra work," Marcos Vechionacci said prior to call-up to Trenton.
