Gardner Having Success With One Slot

Gardner isn't throwing from two slots anymore

Michael Gardner was always an intriguing relief pitching prospect because he threw sinkers and sliders from two different arm slots. However, with an eye towards gaining more consistency, the Yankees had him go to just one slot this season and he has experienced a lot of success as a result.

"I think overall it's been a positive experience, a good year," Michael Gardner said of his 2007 season. "I know I hit a spell for about two or three weeks where I was struggling a little bit.
