The Yankees signed outfielder Carlos Urena out of the Dominican Republic as part of their 2006 'July 2nd Signing Day' class. Possessing five-tool potential, Urena was arguably the most dominating player in Spring Training this past season and was so close to bypassing the Dominican Summer League entirely until the Yankees brought him back down to earth.
