Acquired from the Detroit Tigers last offseason in the Gary Sheffield trade, closer Kevin Whelan entered the Yankees organization with the reputation of having a raw power arm. Immediately having changes made to his game, including starting a few games, he struggled a bit with his command in 2007 but still managed to go a combined 6-2 with four saves and a 2.66 ERA in two minor league stops. | |
