The New York Yankees signed then 16-year old Marcos Vechionacci as an international free agent out of Venezuela in 2002. Taking some time to grow into his body and make mechanical adjustments to his swing, while his production has been somewhat disappointing for a player with his talent, the Yankees still remain very high on his overall potential.
