The Yankees drafted Eric Duncan in the first round of the 2003 MLB Draft out of Seton Hall Prep in New Jersey. While his career hasn't gone as well as he would have liked so far, his critics have lined up in record numbers and some have even completely written him off, something team officials and Duncan himself believe would be a big mistake.
