The Yankees drafted catcher Austin Romine in the second round of the 2007 MLB Draft out of El Toro High School in California. Despite virtually no professional experience, he has quickly impressed everybody with his potent bat and even more imposing defensive game, so much so that he has the look of becoming a top prospect real soon with plus tools across the board.
