The Yankees signed outfielder Jose Tabata out of Venezuela for $500,000 as a 16-year old in 2004. The career .305 hitter was once again one of the youngest players in his league last season and chipped in with a .307 average with the Tampa Yankees, but yet his critics still point to his lack of home runs. The Yankees however are not the least bit concerned. | |
