YMLN - Rufino Brings Power To Charleston

TAMPA, FL - Gulf Coast League first baseman Wady Rufino was doing remarkably well with the Scranton Yankees this spring, but with the season drawing closer, he was moved down to the Charleston workgroup on Wednesday and kept his hot-hitting going, albeit in a losing effort as the Riverdogs fell 6-4 to the Tampa Bay Rays.

It wasn't as if the Charleston lineup needed another power bat, but that's exactly what they got when Wady Rufino was sent down from the Scranton workgroup on Wednesday.
