Reliever Kevin Whelan lasted just three games into the Arizona Fall League before exiting early with soreness in his forearm. Spending the majority of the remaining offseason resting and rehabbing the injury put him behind schedule once he reported to Spring Training, and he has been building up his arm strength since that time.
