Weems Learning To Stay Within Himself

Weems has four hits in his last three games

Chase Weems, last year's sixth round pick, signed too last season to even get a token at-bat in the Gulf Coast League and he had to wait until the GCL season this year to make his professional debut. While his numbers have been solid in the early going, Weems says he has already learned one of the bigger lessons in professional baseball.

"I think it's going great, I'm having fun," Chase Weems said of his debut season. "It's been tough. We have to get up early and get to the complex early in the morning to practice and then we have a game, but I couldn't ask for anything else. This is what I love doing."
