O'Brien Just Getting His Feet Wet

O'Brien is excited about Instructs

Mikey O'Brien rolled through his first three professional games with the Gulf Coast League Yankees until he ultimately hit the inevitable learning curve down the stretch. He struggled in his last two games in particular, but he knows that comes with the territory of getting indoctrinated into the professional ranks and he plans on learning more in Instructs.

"I think it went real well," Mikey O'Brien said of his debut season. "I learned some new things. I learned that hitters aren't really high school hitters anymore - they can hit every pitch. "I felt real good about myself. I've got some more things to learn though, some things to learn down in Instructs."
