D.J. Mitchell continues to impress

BOCA CHICA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - The Yankees defeated the Royals 6-2 on Friday behind the strong performance of right-hander D.J. Mitchell.

Although D.J. Mitchell signed too late this summer to see minor league game action, he has opened everybody's eyes with his combination of stuff and command during the two Instructional League camps. Sitting in the 91-93 MPH range with his fastball and showing a great curveball, he held the Royals hitless in two shutout innings on Friday and struck out four batters along the way. Jose Pirela...
