The Yankees signed then outfielder Wilkins De La Rosa out of the Dominican Republic back in 2001. He spent his first five years in the organization struggling with the bat, but he amazed people with his strong outfield arm, especially as a lefty. He was moved to the mound a little over a year ago and now he's a member of the 40-man roster.
