Horne Not All That Far Off

It's never easy for any pitcher to make a full return from shoulder surgery, no matter how minor. Just ask Alan Horne. But while his return hasn't looked too good in the box scores, the fact that he's made it all the way back to Double-A is only overshadowed by the return of his stuff, which he says isn't all that far off from his Eastern League Pitcher of the Year season two years ago.

"To be back here, I don't look at it as a disappointment at all," Alan Horne said of being back in Trenton. "I'm eight months out of shoulder surgery and pitching in Double-A already. It's not particularly pretty right now, but there's some good stuff there and it's not very far off." The numbers haven't been too good just yet.
