Ortiz Off To Rough Start

Tampa Yankee pitcher Jonathan Ortiz isn't settling with his start this season. Ortiz is 0-3 with a 7.50 ERA and 15 strikeouts after blowing another save on Saturday. His confident attitude, however, is set on looking ahead, and duplicating his success last year is something he is hoping for. Last year he posted a 2.03 ERA and tallied 87 strikeouts with the Charleston Riverdogs.

"Last year at the beginning of the season, I had up to nine saves," Jonathan Ortiz said with the help of a translator. "This year, I wasn't that lucky." He has started this season with seven saves, but he blew his third save of the season on Saturday night after blowing just five all of last year.
