Almonte hit .305 after the All Star break

As late as the end of July it seemed that Abraham Almonte was on his way to a second straight disappointing season with the Charleston Riverdogs, at least offensively. But a blistering .368 average in his final 33 games helped save his season, proving to himself and everyone else that nothing is impossible.

Abraham Almonte, the 20-year old centerfielder for the RiverDogs, made great strides in his second season in Charleston when it was all said and done.
